Middle School Director
Our Middle School is a place to belong and to become, in which students are well-known and appreciated as unique individuals. The energy is happy and high in our hallways, as students view school as a safe and joyful place. Students know that they will be supported at every turn by caring and charismatic mentors, and compassionate friends.
We believe that if our students feel known and cared for -- if they feel they belong -- they can grow into young adulthood equipped with confidence and compassion, poised to live ethically, and with a hippocampus overflowing with memories of positive experiences in our Middle School."

Please join us in welcoming Jackson Bellaimey, Cathleen Wilkes, Lisa Williams, to our kehilah!
On June 4, our eighth graders graduated from The McGillis School to 11 different high schools!
How often does your child come home from school and offer you a curt “good” in response to your inquiry of their day?
Day One. Students file into Room 204, chittering nervously. It’s their first day in my History classroom as sixth graders.
While there is much joy and playful energy in a Middle School hallway, it can also be a social and emotional gauntlet, an obstacle course of impulses, glances, whispers, and what-ifs.
