Magpie Association

Active and involved parents who champion the mission and vision of the School and make all the difference to our McGillis community!

The top priority of our Magpie Association is to build the culture of community at the school, and there are many opportunities to participate and volunteer. Every parent/guardian of a McGillis student is a member of the Magpie Association, and all are invited to engage in ways that fit their interests and availability.

The Magpie Association is led by the Magpie Association Council (MAC), which meets 4 times during the school year to help plan and facilitate educational programming for families and grade-level social gatherings, and to promote community events and encourage parent participation.

In addition to the MAC, the Magpie Association Liaison Council (MALC) is a leadership group that consists of 1-2 parent/guardians from each of the three divisions (Lower School, Middle School, and TLC), who will work with school staff to review Magpie Association procedures, and help guide the MAC in their work.
