Teresa grew up in Boise, Idaho, and originally came to Utah for a college basketball scholarship. She had only planned to stay for college, but fell in love with Utah and stayed. She is one hundred percent Basque and is the youngest of seven children. She is also tri-lingual.
Teresa spent her 7th-grade year of school in Spain at an all-girl Catholic school. She was the captain of her college Division I basketball team. She is the mother of two children, a stepmother of three more. She loves birds, tele-skiing, reading, Indian food, and NPR.
