At McGillis since 2017

What do you think makes McGillis different?

McGillis is different because of the community it builds. It is refreshing to be surrounded by people who genuinely care about you, and want you to succeed.

Are you learning or teaching yourself something new lately?

Not currently, but something I would love to do is learn how to print my own t-shirts! I was a printmaking minor for a few years, so I have some background in printing and would love to learn how to put it to use in a real-world setting.

Which McGillis value do you most appreciate?

I appreciate Tikkun Olam (repairing the world) the most. The past year has had ups and downs for everyone, and I love being a part of a community that believes in healing a broken world. It is powerful to believe that repairing the world starts with you!

What are you currently reading?

Educated by Tara Westover

What is your superpower? Why?

If I could choose a superpower it would be teleportation because I would love to be able to see different parts of the world in the blink of an eye.

If you could eat dinner with someone famous, living or dead, who would it be?

I would eat dinner with Pablo Picasso. He was in the forefront of challenging stereotypes about art, and was able to find his own voice through creative means. I've always loved the way he uses line and color in his art.

What is your favorite AfterSchool tradition?

My favorite AfterSchool tradition is AfterSchool Kids Night Out.
