Bio:
I would consider myself a jack of all trades, but my professional experience has been punctuated by 20 years of experience in Salt Lake independent schools, and 8 years of putting out fires on a Forest Service Hotshot Crew. Outside of work, I crave desert campfires, scouring the Wasatch with my family, hitting up the skatepark with my son, Emmit, running countless miles on the Bonneville Shoreline Trail, and chipping away at remodeling our new home.

The defining moment that lead you to your career in education:
It was a culmination of several challenging years as a student. I suppose I wanted to be a voice for children who school wasn't necessarily easy for.

 

What is a powerful moment you experienced at school?
When a truly wonderful and talented college professor helped me move beyond my fear of writing, and actually fall in love with the process.
