Candice has spent the last 11 years taking care of children while spending countless hours on boards and doing volunteer work. She has many interests outside of work some of which are: reading, running, anything outside with her family and dogs, and cooking.

As McGillis celebrates its 30th anniversary, what is a memory you would like to share with our community?

I have heard this same thing over and over, but I remember the first time I walked through the front doors as an interested parent and just feeling that overwhelming emotion that this is the place that my kids should be. The warmth and happiness you could see and feel from the kids, teachers, and staff was truly amazing.

As we celebrate our 30th anniversary, what is your wish for McGillis?

My wish for McGillis is that in 30 years it will still be the same amazing place that evolves and changes into what we need it to be for our kids. As the world changes, the School adapts and becomes what our kids need at that moment, and I hope we continue to be that place for all the upcoming generations of kids that come through those doors.

What is a powerful moment you experienced at school (either as a student or an adult)?
My fourth-grade teacher Ms. Webb had a major impact on my life and made math a favorite subject for the rest of my school years. She had a knack for making you feel like you were the most important person in the world when she talked to you. It was a great life lesson that has stuck with me.
