I was born and raised in Salt Lake. I have a 28-year-old daughter (a McGillis alum) I have always worked in the restaurant industry, managing as well as catering. Food has always been my passion, I love ethnic food of any kind. My take on cooking is that a person doesn't have to be a trained chef or a nutritionist to create yummy healthy meals. I love my job and really enjoy the fast pace of the kitchen. It is my focus to promote vegetables to children in a healthy delicious way. I have learned so much from the kids in my 20 years at McGillis. When they visit years later and say that they still miss McGillis lunches, it makes me smile.
