Bio:
I was born and raised in Salt Lake. I have a 32-year-old daughter (a McGillis alum) I have always worked in the restaurant industry, managing as well as catering. Food has always been my passion, I love ethnic food of any kind. My take on cooking is that a person doesn't have to be a trained chef or a nutritionist to create yummy healthy meals. I love my job and really enjoy the fast pace of the kitchen. It is my focus to promote vegetables to children in a healthy delicious way. I have learned so much from the kids in my 25 years at McGillis. When they visit years later and say that they still miss McGillis lunches, it makes me smile. Food safety is my most important focus at McGillis. I am constantly looking at ways to prepare and serve the food as safely as we possibly can.
