Bio:

Whether inside a classroom, circled around a fire in the desert, or on a pair of skis, my goal as an educator has always been to support and guide students as they learn about themselves and the world around them. At McGillis, my charge is to help every Middle Schooler thrive, and I feel fortunate to work with so many adults in our Middle School who are similarly passionate about that same goal. When I am not enjoying the special energy of McGillis and our Middle School, I like to pass the time skiing, camping, and listening to baseball on the radio, preferably with my partner Sarah and our two kids, Eddie and Eleanor.

Favorite McGillis lunch:

Veggie Curry & Rice

Books I love:

New and Selected Poems by Mary Oliver; Mountains of the Mind by Robert Macfarlane; The Shining by Stephen King; The Monkey Wrench Gang by Edward Abbey

The McGillis value that means the most to me:

My favorite McGillis Value is kehilah because preserving a welcoming, vibrant community is essential in a school setting.
