Bio:
When I'm not at McGillis, you can usually find me in my garden cheering on tomatoes (while waging a never-ending war against bindweed), enjoying delicious food, running in the Wasatch foothills, practicing hot yoga, or spending time with my family. McGillis has long been my home away from home. After 17 years in the classroom, I recently stepped into the role of Director of Admissions, and I couldn't be more excited to welcome new families into this amazing community. One of the greatest gifts of McGillis is that I get to work alongside my husband, Matt Schrier, and that we've had the joy of seeing our son, Emmit, thrive here from kindergarten through 8th grade. McGillis has shaped us and grown us up as a family, and I feel so grateful to share that experience with others.

Favorite McGillis lunch:
Veggie Curry or Chickpea Gyro

Books I love:
Lonesome Dove ( I am a sucker for Westerns), Love in the Time of Cholera, The Women, and anything by Elin Hildebrand

The McGillis value that means the most to me:
Tikkun Olam. We have a long road ahead of us to repair the world, but little repairs do add up. It begins in our homes and in our community. We have to take the time to connect, to listen, to understand, and to act.  It can be as simple as exchanging a smile, sharing a meal, picking up litter, saying thank you, and making apologies.
