Bio:

I grew up in the lush greenery of Pennsylvania. I've been getting my chloro-fill here in the Wasatch aspen groves and cottonwoods for the past twenty-one years, where I've set down roots with my husband and two children, a son who's a sophomore studying cinematography at Chapman University and a daughter who just started her junior year at Highland High School, both McGillis graduates. I love hiking, mountain biking, floating rivers with family and friends, running on beautiful trails (sometimes just running endless errands), and camping off the grid -- sometimes in the company of llamas or pack goats, and always with fresh coffee, avocados, and smelly French cheese. Listening to all kinds of live music and reading good fiction are favorite pastimes.

Favorite McGillis lunch:

Fish tacos and street corn!

Books I love:

Love in the Time of Cholera by Gabriel Garcia Marquez; Prodigal Summer by Barbara Kingsolver; There There by Tommy Orange; The Overstory by Richard Powers

The McGillis value that means the most to me:

Tikkun Olam, repairing the world, is the one we all need to work on the most right now.
