The Gifts We Grow By...
In the fall of 2010, we opened our expanded 57,000 square foot LEED certified spaces to 325 students in kindergarten through eighth grades. Space that enable us to add kindergarten, additional classes in math, science, language and humanities, plus constructive and performing arts, an afterschool program and expanded athletics.
The Building on Success capital campaign has raised $7.1 million of the needed $9.7 million for our new facility. When The School embarked on this ambitious project four years ago, we invited the entire McGillis community to join in making this dream for the future become a reality. Through the generous participation of parents, grandparents, alumni, faculty, former families and friends, The School has achieved 73% of its fundraising goal.
The completion of our new spaces expands the possibilities of what we can offer our students and maintains the tradition of a program that recognizes the gifts each child has to offer. Enrollment has grown almost 2 ½ times to 340 students in only eight years.
